Add a CommentThank goodness, I have not read Graham Greene's novel to make a comparison. I am not impressed by the lead's performance (Sam Riley as Pinkie). He's stiff and except for his pretty-boy-look, the character lacks some gravitas. The 60s ambience was beautifully captured against the fantasy-looking Brighton backdrop and the wild and swinging youth zeitgeist.
