The film made an excellent choice for casting the 2 lead stars - Anne Hathaway (she's really beautiful but do you find her sexy? like Grace Kelly?) and Jim Sturgess (almost as pretty as Anne herself, right?). Both exude a certain cold kind of attraction that worked perfectly with the story of well, amity than l'amour. A romantic comedy that Plato would be proud of and like most previous posts would attest, crying a bucketful of tears.

A quiet little gem of a movie that grew on me. Took a little time to get into it and almost gave up on it--but worth the effort. After getting past the British accents and quick speech, the audience must infer a lot with the plot as we see only one day each year in the lives of this friendship over 20 years. Being there for the evolution of this relationship thorugh the years moved me. Slowly, the audience can see the missed opportunities in this couple's ways, yet is powerless to affect change for these characters. After observing the years slip away in the lives of this couple, the only thing left for the viewer is to alter the course of their own path and live more fully.

A disappointment. I like the Actors but found the story very dull.

A strange little gem of a movie... delightfully witty and urbane dialogue captured both my imagination - and my heart! I recommend it to anyone who's experienced unrequited love... or longed for the improbable!

This film follows the relationship between two friends of the opposite sex as they evolve from buddies to marriage partners over a period of 20 years. Owing to the tedious script and characters, however, it actually seems longer. On the auditory front, Anne Hathaway makes a complete botch of her on-again-off-again British accent, while visually her milquetoast character teeters between a terrible new hairdo and a significant wardrobe upgrade after she moves to Paris.

OMG i love this movie the way that anne hataway and this other dude acted in the movie made me feel like i was in love all over again but it felt like i was really in the past with them but even though im not that old i still belive that the ending could have ended a little better but i think that this love story is very romantic and worth watching. u might be confused at the beginning but then u will understand wat the movie is mostly all about. but even though it is mostly based on the day that the day they met on july15th 1988 they met after thier graduation and for 20 year thier love for each other had grown. a very heart worming movie that may make you cry, it is so a good movie to see during a bad brake up or during the weekend when you are feeling down
